Steve P. Lam 

Steve was called to the Supreme Court of British Columbia bar in 2000 after completing his legal studies at the University of Manitoba and his undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia. He had previously held a licence for real estate sales in the Province of British Columbia. Steve is our firm’s principal and founder.

He is also registered with the Attorney General of the Province of British Columbia to better serve the many extra-jurisdiction needs of our client’s in other countries. As well, Steve is a Notary Public and a commissioner for oaths for and in the Province of British Columbia.

Steve has acted for a large range of clientele ranging from individuals having very personal needs to large commercial financial institutions having high value security and lending needs. 

For the community, Steve has volunteered his time on many opportunities to do so, such as a guest Moot Court Appellant Judge for the UBC Faculty of Law, a guest on the Modern Lifestyle Program on AM1470, a member of the Business Referral Group 15, a guest speaker with S.U.C.C.E.S.S.: Tri-City Cantonese Women's Group, and a guest speaker with CCM Centre.

林英華先生

林英華律師畢業於加拿大英屬哥倫比亞大學心理學系，之後在曼尼托巴大學完成他的法律專業的學習。並於2000年，林英華律師獲得了卑詩省高級法院的大律師資格。此外，林英華律師還持有卑詩省的地產經紀人牌照。林英華律師是本公司的負責人和創辦人。

林英華律師還在卑詩省的總法務官處作了註冊律師的登記，以便更好地適應公司客戶在其它國家的、本轄區外的文書需求。此外，他還擁有卑詩省公証人和監誓人的資格，可為客戶做文書公證或宣誓。

林英華律師具備豐富的客戶經驗，他曾經服務過的客戶群包括有具體私人需求的個人，以及有高額抵押和借貸需求的大型商業金融機構。

林英華律師經常熱心投入社區義務服務，其中包括為卑詩大學法學院擔任Moot Court Appellant的法官嘉賓、擔任Modern Lifestyle Program 於AM1470的嘉賓、Business Referral Group 15的成員、擔任中橋互助會Tri-City廣東婦女協會的演講嘉賓、以及擔任中信中心的演講嘉賓。他還在各種粵語和英文的研討會中擔任主講。

Omar-Sadique (Omar) Mohamed 

Helping clients restructure their business so that they can enjoy retirement with the fruits of the labour, planning for those “what ifs” in one’s personal life, and closing on that purchase of a client’s first home are just a few of the experiences that keep Omar driven in his practise of the law. 

Omar joined Ascendancy Law Corporation in 2022 as an Associate and offers a full-service practise in each of our service areas. A dedicated lawyer, Omar is passionate about getting to know his clients, their businesses, and their current and future legal needs.  

Omar is a “transplant” from Ontario, having grown up in Toronto, obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Western University, and Juris Doctorate from the University of Windsor. After articling at a large regional firm in Ontario, he made the move to Vancouver, BC in 2016 and has been a proud British Columbian ever since. Prior to joining Ascendancy Law Corporation, Omar practised at a boutique downtown Vancouver firm. 

Outside of work, Omar enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, as well as immersing himself in different cultures when travelling, reading a good book, learning about new technologies, including A.I., as well as sampling different wines and trying his hand at new dishes in the kitchen.  

SUSAN YAO

Susan is a certified legal assistant and have worked in the legal field for over 10 years. As well, she is a commissioner for taking affidavits in and for the Province of British Columbia. She has worked closely with Steve in a team environment for several years delivering services to their clients. As a positive attribute, Susan makes a point to know her clients and to have a better understanding of her clients’ legal needs and goals. Many of her clients are comfortable in directly speaking with Susan in Cantonese, Mandarin or English on various matters, concerns or requirements.  

For the Community, she has happily volunteered her time at her child’s school and at the Immigrant Services Society of BC.

姚嬈(素珊)女士

素珊是一名注冊法律助理，在法律界工作已有十多年。此外，她還擁有卑詩省註冊監誓人的資格。素珊與林英華律師曾在團隊合作環境中緊密共事多年，一起為客戶提供了優質客靠的服務。作為素珊的優點之一，她總是努力去了解客戶所需。公司的客戶們可以在各種相關事宜、關注、或需求上，很放心地用廣東話、普通話、或英文與素珊進行直接溝通。

素珊經常在她孩子就讀的學校、以及在卑詩省移民服務會里，熱心地多次參與義工工作。

Jenny Chung

Jenny joined Ascendancy Law Corporation in June of 2018 and is a certified legal assistant. Jenny has worked in the legal field for over 5 years. She has worked closely with Steve in a team environment while providing customer services to their clients. Not only does she have a sunny disposition, but our clients rather enjoy her professionalism and positive attitude. Many of the firm’s clients are comfortable in speaking with Jenny either in Cantonese or English on various matters.

Jenny 是一名注册法律助理，并于2018年6月加入Ascendancy Law Corporation。Jenny在法律界工作已经超过五年的时间。Jenny 和 Steve （林律师）紧密合作，向客户们提供了专业的客户服务。她不仅有开朗的性格，客户们还能体会到她专业而积极的工作态度。对于相关的业务，Jenny可以自如地跟公司的客户们用英语或粤语作沟通。
